Kakobuy vs CNFans

Two agents with almost the same feature list, doing almost the same job. Here is the short list of things that genuinely differ — and how to check them yourself.

Last reviewed

Both are shopping agents. Both buy from the same Chinese sellers, hold your items in a warehouse, photograph them, and consolidate them into one parcel. Both have a link converter, English support and a coupon for new accounts. Side by side on paper they are close to indistinguishable, which is why so many comparisons of them are padding.

We are not neutral. This site earns a commission on Kakobuy signups and nothing on CNFans. So this page will not tell you which is better — it tells you how to find out, in a way that works whichever way the answer comes out.

The five things that actually differ

What to compareWhy it decides anythingHow to check it today
The shipping quote for your countryThis is the comparison. Service fees differ by a rounding error; freight differs by real money, and the ranking between agents changes by destination and by month.Make a free account on both, put the same item in each, submit a parcel and read the quotes. Nothing is owed until you pay a quote.
Which lines exist at all for youA cheap line you cannot use is not cheap. Line availability varies by country and some agents simply have more partners into some regions. The quote list from the step above is the answer. Count the lines, not just the cheapest price.
How the warehouse behavesTime from 'seller dispatched' to 'appears in my warehouse', and how fast QC photos follow, is where the day-to-day experience lives.Search the agent's name on the community subreddits and Discords, sorted by newest. Old threads describe an agent that no longer exists.
Support, when something is wrongYou will only care about this once, and when you do it is the only thing that matters — a wrong item, a missing parcel, a damaged box.Ask a real pre-sales question in each agent's live chat before you spend anything. The answer, and the wait, tells you more than any review.
The coupon you can still claimSignup coupons attach to the account and cannot be added later, so whichever one you register with first is the one you get.Compare what each is offering on the day you register. See our coupon page for the Kakobuy side of it.

The whole method, in about twenty minutes

  1. Register on both. Free, no card.
  2. Put the same realistic haul in each — not one t-shirt. Three or four items, including something bulky.
  3. Submit each as a parcel and read the quotes. Do not pay.
  4. Ask each support the same real question and time the reply.
  5. Pick one, and register the other account later if you ever need it.

One caveat on step 5: the signup coupon only applies to a new account, so whichever you do first is the one that gets it. If the coupons differ meaningfully on the day, let that break a tie — see the coupon page.

What does not differentiate them

The item, the seller, the quality, or whether anything is authentic — none of which any agent has a hand in. If you are hoping one agent sources better goods than the other, they do not: they both buy the exact listing you point them at. Reading the QC photos is what protects you, on either.

Questions

Which is better, Kakobuy or CNFans?

For most people, neither in general — only one of them for their country and their parcel. Both buy from the same sellers, both run a warehouse with QC photos, and both quote freight that varies by destination. The honest method is to open a free account on each and quote the same parcel on both.

Why does this page not have a fee comparison table?

Because it would be wrong within a season and would keep ranking anyway. Agents adjust service fees and renegotiate shipping lines several times a year. A page that teaches you how to check stays useful; a page with 2026 numbers on it becomes a trap.

Can I use both agents?

Yes, and plenty of people do — one for heavy hauls and one for small parcels, depending on which quotes better into their country. The only thing you cannot do is split a single parcel across two warehouses.

Do they buy from different sellers?

No. Both buy from the same Taobao, Weidian and 1688 sellers; neither has an exclusive on anything. The item is identical, so the difference is entirely in the service around it.

Does it matter which one a spreadsheet links to?

Only for convenience. A link saves you pasting a URL into a converter; it does not change what the item is. The catalogue this site draws from carries links for several agents against each find.
