What you are actually trusting
A shopping agent is a buying and forwarding service. You give them money, they buy something in China on your behalf, hold it in a warehouse, and post it to you. For a period measured in weeks, they are holding both your money and your goods. That is the trust, and it is the same trust with every agent in this space — none of them is a regulated escrow.
Kakobuy has been operating at volume in this community for years, with a public warehouse, QC photography and support staff. People get their parcels. That is the evidence, and it is reasonable evidence, but it is not a guarantee and nobody can give you one.
What can go wrong, and who controls it

Four rules that work with any agent
- Keep the balance small. Top up for the order in front of you, not for the year.
- Keep the cycle short. Order, check the QC photos, ship. Months of items sitting in a warehouse is exposure for no benefit — and it eventually costs storage.
- Start small. Put one cheap order all the way through before you trust an agent with a haul. It costs you the price of a t-shirt to learn the whole process.
- Pay in a way you can dispute. Always, everywhere, for anything bought from abroad.
What no agent will cover
The item being poor. The item not matching a brand. Your customs charge. A seizure. Your country's law. Agents say this in their terms and they mean it — and this site does not sell, make, import or stock anything either, so the same goes for everything listed here.

Questions
Is Kakobuy a scam?
There is no evidence it is, and it is one of the agents this community has used at volume for years. That is the honest limit of what anyone can tell you — it is a judgement about a company, not a fact, and anybody writing that an agent is '100% safe' is either guessing or being paid to say it. We are paid by them, which is exactly why this page tells you where the risk is instead.
What is the agent actually responsible for?
Buying what you told them to buy, receiving it, storing it, photographing it and shipping it. They are not responsible for the item being any good, for it matching a brand, or for your customs. Being clear about that line prevents most of the disappointment.
Is it safe to leave money in my balance?
Leave as little as the process needs. This is standard advice for every shopping agent and it has nothing to do with suspecting any one of them: an unspent balance is an unsecured loan to a company in another jurisdiction, and there is no reason to make it a large one.
What payment method should I use?
Whichever gives you a route to dispute a charge. That is general good practice for buying anything from abroad and it costs you nothing.
Is buying replicas legal where I live?
That depends entirely on your country and we are not in a position to advise you on it. Broadly, enforcement in most places targets sellers and importers for resale rather than individuals buying for personal use — but that is a general observation, not legal advice, and you should look up your own country's rules.
Why should I believe a site that earns commission?
You should not take it on faith, which is why the disclosure is in the footer of every page and why this page lists the risks rather than hiding them. Read the agent's own terms, search the community for recent experiences, and keep your balance small. Those three things protect you regardless of what we write.
